The next trial was held on the criminal case of Emin Aliyarov, Rashad Ahmadov, Azer Sarijanov, Elshad Askerov, and Sabuhi Shirinov, who were detained in connection with the attempted assassination of Azerbaijani MP Fazil Mustafa, APA reports.

The accused Azer Sarijanov, whose interrogation was interrupted last time, answered the questions at the session presided over by Judge Elnur Nuriyev at the Baku Grave Crimes Court.

In the court, Azer Sarijanov was asked which words of Fazil Mustafa he did not like. He said that the people sitting here are not guilty: "I was the one who guided the people sitting here, and the weapons were mine. What Fazil Mustafa wrote on the social network Facebook made me angry. He insulted Ashura. He used to say to people during Ashura that "getting mad".

Later, the accused Rashad Ahmadov testified. He spoke about the incident: "It's my fault that I kept the weapon that Azer gave me. Among those here, I only know Azer. I know him from the mosque. Then we used to sell oil with him. I didn't know that anything was going to be done against Fazil Mustafa. When he was arrested, they asked me about Valeh Ismayilov. He was my childhood friend. Then when there was a war in Syria He went there and from there he moved to Iran and lived there. Before the incident, Azer gave me a gun. He said to keep it, I will come and take it. Then I gave the gun to Khayyam. He should have given it to Azar. Later I had some pictures on my phone. I have always been interested in becoming a pilot and in the military. That's why I was taking photos of some places through the program on my phone. No need for anything special for this. After the incident, I saw that Azer was arrested. I was afraid and went to Istanbul and then to Iran. After staying in Qum for 10 days, I returned to Baku. I asked Khayyam what did you do with the gun, he said that I threw it into the sea."

Later, the accused person Rashad Ahmadov testified.

The next hearing will be held on March 1.

Note that Azerbaijani MP Fazil Mustafa was shot near his house. The MP survived, receiving two bullet wounds, one in the right shoulder.
