At around 08:30 on June 18, a fire broke out as a result of a release from the upper cover section of heat exchanger No. 211/1 located at Catalytic Reforming Unit No. 31 of the Oil Refinery, SOCAR Downstream LLC told APA.
The situation was immediately brought under control, and the fire was completely extinguished thanks to the operational intervention of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The refinery continues to operate in accordance with safety requirements, and no disruption to the production process has been observed.
An investigation is underway to determine the causes of the incident.

Information was received on the Ministry of Emergency Situations' "112" hotline about a fire at the Oil Refinery located in the Nizami district of Baku, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told APA.
It was reported that, immediately after receiving the information, forces of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene.
Measures to extinguish the fire are currently ongoing.
