The Baku Court of Appeal has reviewed the appeal regarding the change of preventive detention measures for Yelena Khakhaleva, who was placed on an international wanted list by the Russian Investigative Committee, arrested in Azerbaijan, and subjected to pre-trial detention, Prosecutor General's Office released information, APA reports.
The court's decision on February 4 canceled the pre-trial detention of Y. Khakhaleva, and the Khazar District Prosecutor's Office imposed a measure of police supervision instead.
Additionally, documents submitted by the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office regarding Y. Khakhaleva's extradition are currently under review by the Azerbaijani Prosecutor General’s Office.
