The smuggling of narcotics into the territory of Azerbaijan was prevented, APA reports citing Press Center of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan.
On April 3, at 03:38, 19 kilograms 550 grams of narcotic drugs (19 kg of marijuana, 550 grams of opium) and 4370 units of strong narcotic Methadone M-40 pills from were found and their smuggling from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan was prevented as a result of the vigilance of the border guard in the service territory of the Goytepe border detachment of the Border Troops of the State Border Service.
Operational-investigative measures are underway.
