Violation of the state border in the direction from Georgia to the Republic of Azerbaijan has been prevented by the employees of the State Border Service and the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, State Border Service told APA.
On January 19 at 04:30 at the "Girmizi Korpu" (Red Bridge) border checkpoint, during a joint inspection of a "Daf" branded truck with state license plate number 99-UL-655 driven by Sadigov Omar Tapdig, born in 1987, a resident of Fuzuli district, Georgian citizen Lamia Mamedova, born in 1987, who tried to cross the state border illegally in the sealed trunk of the car trailer, was detained.
Investigation measures are ongoing on the fact.
