Court of Appeals continues Eynulla Fetullayevâ€™s trial

Today, Court of Appeals presided by Judge Rasim Isgenderov continued the trial of the editor-in-chief of Realniy Azerbaidjan and Gundelik Azerbaijan newspapers Eynulla Fetullayev, Fetullayev told the APA. Fetullayev said that his representative Isakhan Ashurov testified in the trial today. Stressing that the decision passed by Nasimi Court was injustice and illegal, he demanded to abolish court decision passed on September 26. Then Fetullayev answered the judgeâ€™s questions. Answering the questions Fetullayev noted that Ramil Usubov bears responsibility for the moves of Haji Mammadovâ€™s gang.
â€œIn the letter sent by Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov to Ramil Usubov in 2002 there is information about his doubts concerning Azer Ismayilovâ€™s assassination by Kamil Sadraddinov and Zakir Garalov. Also the letter sent by National Security Minister Namig Abbasov to Ramil Usubov gives information about the gang. Though we presented these documents to court, they have not been considered while passing the decision,â€? he said.
The judge asked to present those documents to court in the next trial. The next trial set on December 15.
It should be noted that, the editor-in-chief was sentenced to two years in jail on Ramil Usubovâ€™s charge. Article called â€œAntibioticâ€™s Bankruptcyâ€? published in Fetullayevâ€™s newspaper caused it. The minister claims that the article insults his honour and dignity. /APA/
