Cyberattacks targeting the state information infrastructure of the Republic of Azerbaijan have been recorded since around 10:00 p.m. on October 13, 2026, the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security (SSSCIS) told APA-Economics.
According to the Service, the attack was carried out by a foreign hacker group, targeting more than 100 government domains within Azerbaijan's state information infrastructure.
As a result of the cyberattack, disruptions occurred in the operation of the websites of several government agencies. Relevant technical measures were taken to limit the impact of the cyberattack and ensure the continuous operation of the websites.
The Service is currently continuing measures to ensure cybersecurity.
