Palestine needs independence and security, said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Chavushoglu.
He made the remarks addressing the meeting of the Ministerial Committee on Palestine within the framework of the interim ministerial conference of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) held in Baku on April 5, APA reports.
Chavushoglu said that Palestine has a right to be free and sovereign.
“Israel continues its illegal occupation. We must tell Israel that its actions are illegal and inhuman. The US has announced its provocative decision on Jerusalem. The UN has protested it. The US decision to open an embassy in Jerusalem is a big mistake. We must work collectively in order to stop the pain of Palestine. The Non-Aligned Movement must work jointly for the recognition of Palestine’s independence,” the minister noted.
