Some states testing new weapons in Syria, ex-Lebanese PM claims

Some big states today are directly involved in criminal acts; they use Syrian soil as a testing ground for newly invented weapons, said former Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora.

He made the remarks at a panel session titled "Regional Security, Regional Peace: Middle East," which was held as part of the 6th Global Baku Forum in Baku on March 16, APA reports.

He noted that despite modern weapons are being tested on Syrian civilians, other countries are simply watching.

“Will history forgive us these horrors? Some countries have tested all the weapons they invented in the past seven years on Syrian civilians under the guise of eliminating terrorists. Yet no terrorist organization has been eradicated. The result is, millions of Syrians have been killed and fled their homeland. This is a crime the perpetrators of which will certainly be called to account,” said the former Lebanese PM.
