Flag hoisting ceremony held in Pakistani embassy in Azerbaijan

A flag hoisting ceremony was held in Pakistani embassy in Azerbaijan to commemorate Pakistan National Day on March 23, APA reported.

Addressing the ceremony, Pakistani Ambassador Said Khan Mohmand spoke about the history of creation of Pakistan, as well as the Pakistani-Azerbaijani relations.

He said that Azerbaijan and Pakistan have many agreements not only in the field of defense, but also in other areas.

“Our relations are developing step by step over the last 2-3 years. Relations between the two countries in the field of trade and tourism, as well as relations at the level of the heads of state are very good. The number of tourists coming from Pakistan to Azerbaijan has increased by 300 people compared to 2016. I hope that direct flights will be provided between the two countries this year, and this will bring our countries closer,” the ambassador added.
