Ex-PM Lagumdzija: Azerbaijani presidentâ€™s visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina to open new page for co-op in many areas

Bosnia and Herzegovina and Azerbaijan enjoy historic ties, former prime minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zlatko Lagumdzija told APA.

Lagumdzija said that there is cooperation between the capitals of the two countries.

"Ever since the war broke out we have always tried to support Azerbaijan’s independence, we stood by Azerbaijan, because we share similar problems and understand each other better than any other country can. The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be resolved within Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity," he stressed.

Underlining the successful development of economic and cultural ties between the two countries, the former prime minister said that Azerbaijani investors are expected to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“President Ilham Aliyev is a friend of our country, and his planned visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina this year will open a new page for cooperation in many areas,” he added.
