The March 18 president election in Russia was transparent, democratic and conducted in line with the country’s laws, Ziyafat Asgarov, first vice-speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, coordinator of the observation mission of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, said while presenting a report at Russia’s Central Election Commission, an APA correspondent reported from Moscow.
"The overall level of the electoral process was very high. The CIS mission conducted observations in many regions and cities of Russia. We conducted both short-term and long-term observations during the elections. I can say that the technical issues reported did not affect the election results in any way,” he said.
