Azerbaijan's "Smart City" and "Smart Village" projects are commendable, said Vladanka Andreeva, the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, who is on a visit to Jabrayil, APA reports.
She noted that the work done by the Azerbaijani Government to develop the "Smart City" and "Smart Village" concepts is commendable: "It is really nice to see the efforts made by the government to develop this concept. I was especially impressed by the application of solar energy in homes. All the houses have solar panels."
The UN official emphasized that investments made in the past four years in areas such as mine clearance, construction work, and construction of buildings and roads have become a key stage in ensuring the return of people to their homelands.
