Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation met with the First Lady of Oman

Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva met with the First Lady of the Sultanate of Oman, Her Majesty Sayyida Ahad bint Abdullah bin Hamad Al Busaidiyah, in Muscat, APA reports.

Sayyida Ahad bint Abdullah bin Hamad Al Busaidiyah expressed her pleasure at seeing Leyla Aliyeva in Oman and emphasized that her public activities are highly appreciated not only in Azerbaijan, but also in many countries, including the Arab states of the Gulf.

The First Lady of Oman noted that she is well informed about the support provided by the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to environmental protection, art and culture, as well as to children in need of special care, and about her active participation in charitable initiatives.

She also stated that she has extensive knowledge about craftsmanship, carpet weaving, and textile arts in Azerbaijan.

Expressing her satisfaction with being in Oman, Leyla Aliyeva thanked her for the meeting and for the attention and care shown. Emphasizing that this is her first visit to Oman, the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation expressed confidence that it would give impetus to future cooperation between institutions operating in fields such as culture, art, carpet weaving, and textile production in the two countries.

Noting that Azerbaijan has rich traditions in the fields of carpet weaving and textile production, Leyla Aliyeva highlighted the importance of exchanging experience in this regard.

During the conversation, an agreement was reached on the development of joint projects between Azerbaijan and Oman in the mentioned areas.
