“The peace agreement reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan through the mediation of U.S. President Donald Trump opens transformative opportunities for the entire South Caucasus. Georgia can both contribute to and significantly benefit from the stability and prosperity made possible by this agreement," the U.S. State Department told Georgia’s Netgazeti outlet, APA’s local bureau reports.
It was noted that the United States is seeking to build constructive relations with Georgia: “We will continue to engage with the Georgian government on issues affecting our bilateral relations and the political environment in the country. We are also considering concrete steps that the Georgian government can take to demonstrate its commitment to strengthening and developing relations between our countries.”
