An online event has been held in the US capital Washington with joint organization of Embassies of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkiye, and Turkmenistan, moderation of the Meridian International Center, and Oxus Society for Central Asian Affairs dedicated to Novruz Holiday, Azerbaijani Embassy to the US told APA.
Participating at the event in the person of high-level guests, United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Samantha Power, Chair of House Foreign Affairs Committee of the US Congress Gregory Meeks, Deputy Assistant US Secretary of Defense Rebecca Zimmerman have delivered their congratulation messages on the occasion of Novruz Holiday.
During his speech, State Secretary Anthony Blinken on behalf of Joe Biden and American people congratulated all people in the world marking Novruz holiday, and noted that Novruz, a wonderful opportunity to celebrate spring, not only illuminates the past, but also brings new breath to people for new seasons and opportunities. He expresses hope that with arrival of new season all big and small difficulties in the world will be eliminated, and new year will be remembered with health and peace.
