Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Global Markets and Director General of the US Foreign Commercial Service Arun Venkataraman has arrived in Azerbaijan, the US Embassy in Azerbaijan told APA.
Venkataraman has more than 20 years of experience advising companies, international organizations, and the United States government on international trade issues.
He will also visit Türkiye, Georgia and Armenia. During his visit to Baku, Assistant Secretary of Commerce Venkataraman will hold meetings with President Ilham Aliyev and other state officials. He will participate in the US-Azerbaijan Clean and Green Energy Forum together with Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, meet with representatives of US companies and emphasize the importance of the partnership between the US and Azerbaijan in the field of economy and energy.
