Nearly our 300 citizens evacuated from Ukraine to Turkiye so far, were sent from Istanbul to Azerbaijan, the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul told APA’s local bureau.
It was noted that all necessary measures are being taken by the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul for sending our compatriots to Azerbaijan. The evacuation process is being implemented in coordination with the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Turkiye.
All opportunities were mobilized to provide undocumented citizens with appropriate travel documents, to send them home by air and land without the COVID-19 test, and other similar issues.
Works on sending Azerbaijanis to the homeland are underway.
100 more people are planned to be sent to Azerbaijan on March 5.
