"Azerbaijan faced humanitarian disaster in the First Karabakh War, hundreds of thousands of people became internally-displaced people," said a Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to Azerbaijan Guido Ambroso at the International Charity Bazaar held on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Azerbaijani-UN partnership, 3rd anniversary of Azerbaijan's chairmanship in the Non-Aligned Movement, and United Nations Day, APA reports.
He said that in the last 30 years, Azerbaijan has achieved great success in terms of economic development and development of human resources: "Finally, after 30 years, hundreds of thousands of people got the opportunity to return to their homeland."
