A primary legislative initiative dedicated to the commemoration of the anniversary of the January 20 tragedy was put forward in the House of Commons of the United Kingdom, the Embassy of Azerbaijan to the United Kingdom told APA.
It was noted that, the memories of 150 civilians who were killed as a result of Soviet troops entering Baku on January 20 of 1990, were commemorated by the British Parliament in the legislative initiative.
All members of the British Parliament were called to commemorate the Events f January 20 with this initiative put forward by Head of the UK-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group, MP Bob Blackman.
