On November 4, 12 Azerbaijani citizens detained in the Amerna camp in the Syrian Arab Republic's city of Cerablus were repatriated, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
The above-mentioned persons were brought to our country as a result of step-by-step and coordinated measures taken by the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
First, the location and identity of our citizens to be repatriated were determined, and then their transfer to the territory of the Republic of Turkey was ensured.
The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Turkey provided our citizens with "Certificates of Return to the Republic of Azerbaijan" for their return to the country, and on November 24, the citizens were repatriated to the Republic of Azerbaijan by Ankara-Baku flight.
