The Zangezur corridor is a symbol of unity of the Turkic world, said Mergen Kepbanov, director of the CAREC project office from Turkmenistan, at the Solidarity Forum of NGOs of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States held in Baku on November 24, APA reports.
“The Zangezur corridor creates conditions for the development of cooperation in the Turkic world in the economic, cultural, and public diplomacy spheres, as well as in other areas. Turkmenistan is ready to strengthen cooperation with all countries of the Turkic world in every field,” Mergen Kepbanov said.
He noted that the Zangezur corridor has become not only a transport project, but also a symbol of strategic solidarity and economic unity of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States: “Turkmenistan intends to expand mutual trade relations, diversify transport and logistics routes, and join common projects in the energy and transit sectors.”
