Turkish President: Pashinyan did not back down after his statement about Azerbaijan's territorial integrity

President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan commented on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's participation in swearing-in ceremony of Turkish leader while giving an interview to journalists on the results of his state visit to Azerbaijan, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.

Turkish President stressed that Pashinyan's acceptance of this invitation was an important step:

“At this point Pashinyan accepted our invitation by overcoming many obstacles in his country. We could only meet Prime Minister Pashinyan on foot at that ceremony. In this meeting I expressed my gratitude for his response to this invitation".

The President of Türkiye added that the last statement of the Armenian Prime Minister that they can recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was of great importance.

"Of course realising this is progress. However, there are those who oppose Pashinyan in Armenia. Pashinyan has not yet taken a step back in this matter".
