“In parallel with our bilateral cooperation with dear Azerbaijan, we also continue our unity and solidarity within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS),” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said at the military parade dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War, APA reports.
The Turkish President recalled the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States, held on October 7 in Gabala: “I am pleased that my proposal to establish December 15 as World Turkic Language Family Day has been implemented by UNESCO. During the chairmanship of the Organization, our unity with Azerbaijan will grow even stronger. I already wish dear Azerbaijan success in chairing the OTS. With Azerbaijan’s unwavering support, I hope to strengthen the position of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus within the Turkic world.”
“I commemorate with mercy the martyrs who watered the land with their blood during the Patriotic War and wish healing to the veterans. Similarly, I honor with mercy all the martyrs of the Caucasus Islamic Army who liberated Baku from occupation in 1918, especially Enver Pasha and Nuri Pasha,” Erdoğan emphasized.
