“The 224-kilometer Kars-Ighdir-Aralik-Diluju railway line, whose foundation was laid in August, will become an important part of the Zangezur corridor," said Türkiye’s Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Osman Boyraz during his speech at the panel titled “Middle Corridor: From Reliability to Efficiency” held within the framework of the 5th Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, APA’s local bureau reports.
According to him, the Zangezur corridor and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line will not be alternatives to each other but will complement each other.
The deputy minister stated that Türkiye will continue its efforts to fully realize the potential of the Middle Corridor.
Boyraz noted that the implementation of digitalization and the "single window" system in the Middle Corridor will make the route more attractive.
