Fraternal Azerbaijan acted on the instruction of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev without waiting for the call for help from our country, Türkiye's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagci says at press conference, APA reports.
“On the morning of the earthquake, Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan Mr. Kamaladdin Heydarov called me and informed me that the search and rescue team was ready to be sent to the earthquake area. He noted that the team will soon leave for the airport. The team left for Türkiye less than 6 hours after the earthquake. In the same day, more than 400 personnel were sent to Türkiye on a total of 3 planes”.
