"One of three gates of the city in Shusha was called Gate of Yerevan. It means that today's Armenian territory has been historical land of Azerbaijan and all our cultural monuments there is sacrum," said Chairman of "Return to Karabakh" Public Union, MP Tural Ganjaliyev at the press conference on assessment of the condition of Azerbaijan's cultural heritage in Armenia, APA reports.

According to him, there is Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict:

"Scope of vandalism, committed by Nazis during the Second Karabakh Was was so great that a necessity of adoption of such a convention appeared.

We require the international community to claim to be the owner of the convention, which was adopted themselves. Armenia should be directly brought to responsibility for its cultural genocide. I think that UNESCO should put its double standards aside, investigate the cultural genocide, committed against Azerbaijan," he added.
