“Azerbaijan raised the issue of people who went missing, at various international platforms and continues to do so,” said Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at the joint press conference with his Moldovan counterpart, APA reports.
According to him, prior to 44 days of the war, they did not witness the Armenian side implement its commitments based on international humanitarian law: "The quadripartite meeting held on February 4 focused on the humanitarian issues, and the issue of the missing people was also raised during the meeting. 3890 people are registered as missing. 719 of them were children and women, civilians. The Armenian minister pledged to cooperate in this field. However, then we witnessed a paradox and an illogical statement. The ministry issued a statement that no promises had been made in this regard, which does not fit into morality and humanity, and causes frustration, surprise, and negative feelings. Azerbaijan will continue to insist on this issue. The world countries must increase pressure on Armenia in this direction."
