"If the parties agree on the participation of Nagorno-Karabakh as a party to the negotiations, Russia, as a co-chair country, will respect this decision with respect," Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said this at a briefing today, ONA's Moscow correspondent reports.
According to her, Russia, as a co-chair country of the OSCE Minsk Group, has repeatedly stated that it is possible to change the format of negotiations only with the consent of the parties:
“If the parties to the conflict at any stage agree on the participation of Nagorno-Karabakh in the negotiation process, this will be their decision, and we will treat it with respect. This is not only our position, but also the position of other co-chair countries,” she said.
