In connection with the fifth anniversary of November 8 – Victory Day, the Statement of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been sent to the parliaments of foreign countries and international parliamentary organizations, the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis told APA.
The Statement of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan regarding the fifth anniversary of November 8 – Victory Day, which was adopted at the plenary meeting of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan on October 31, 2025, has been sent to the parliaments of foreign countries and international parliamentary organizations.
It was noted that the Statement emphasizes that the Victory achieved in the 44-day Patriotic War during September–November 2020 is one of the most glorious and fateful events in our national history, and that the Victory gained on the battlefield was also confirmed in the political and diplomatic sphere. The Statement states that the signing of a Joint Declaration and the initialing of a peace agreement between the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia in Washington this August, with the witness of the President of the United States of America, put an end to the period of conflict and opened the path to long-term peace and stability in our region.
The document also emphasizes that the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, noting the historical significance of the victory in the Second Karabakh War, once again expresses its commitment to strengthening the independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of our state, and supports the efforts of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan aimed at creating an atmosphere of peace and cooperation in the region.
