In the village of Novaya Sloboda village of the Sumy Oblast of Ukraine, about 600 people, including children, women and the elderly, who were killed by the Nazis in 1942, were commemorated, the Honorary Consulate of Azerbaijan in Kharkiv told APA.
Noted that in 2020, the Honorary Consulate of Azerbaijan proposed the construction of an information board about the Khojaly Genocide at the "Bell of Sorrow" monument.
Thus, an information board dedicated to the massacres of Kryukova, Liditse, Khatin, and Pirchupis was added to the "Bell of Sorrow" memorial.
An information stand was already set up in the memorial complex regarding the Khijaly genocide.
