"Azerbaijan and Türkiye always demonstrate the same position on international issues," said Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova, at a solemn ceremony dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Türkiye held in Baku, APA reports.
He said that joint activities in the Organization of Turkic States make valuable contributions to strengthening Turkish unity: "Our people would never forget that Türkiye stood by Azerbaijan during the 44-day Patriotic War. The political and moral support provided by all of Türkiye, led by the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the firm position taken by the Turkish people played an important role in ending the occupation of Azerbaijani lands. Today, Türkiye stands by Azerbaijan in the reconstruction and reconstruction work carried out in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur and on other issues. He confidently said that the unity and solidarity of Azerbaijan and Türkiye will bring new successes to our peoples in the coming years."
