"Iran has not once objected to Armenia, which kept the Azerbaijani lands under occupation for 30 years and brutally looted Azerbaijan's resources. Iran, which even supported it with various means, is worried about Azerbaijan's opening an embassy in Israel today," said the speaker of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova at today's plenary meeting, APA reports.
"Everyone should know that Azerbaijan is an independent state and it is its internal business how to relate with which state. Nobody has the right to interfere with the sovereign rights of Azerbaijan. We firmly reject the groundless accusations made by the Iranian parliament against our country, we call on the Iranian parliament to stop such provocations against Azerbaijan and refrain from actions that could damage bilateral relations," said Sahiba Gafarova.
