The Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonyan, did not rule out the discussion of contacts between Armenian and Azerbaijani parliamentarians in an expanded format with his Azerbaijani counterpart, APA reports, citing Armenpress.
He said they constantly try to use all international platforms for contacts, and his Azerbaijani counterpart also has a positive view regarding the logic of these contacts.
“Although there have been no discussions yet, I assume that future contacts between myself and the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament will take place within the framework of the Inter-Parliamentary Union conference to be held in Istanbul. We will continue to discuss our own logic, and we will expand our relations in any format that is already taking shape in the international context,” Simonyan said.
