Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Ramil Usubov participated in the thirteenth meeting of the secretaries of the security councils of the CIS member states held in Moscow, the capital of the Russian Federation, on November 5, 2025, Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA.
The meeting, held within the framework of the "Russia and the Peoples of the CIS" international festival, discussed issues such as strengthening security in the Commonwealth of Independent States, protecting moral and ethical values, combating radical ideology, prospects for the development of cooperation in the humanitarian field, as well as ensuring international and regional stability.
Speaking at the meeting, Ramil Usubov provided detailed information to the participants about strengthening cooperation in the mentioned areas, the work done in our country on the issues discussed, as well as the measures taken by Azerbaijan to establish peace and development in the South Caucasus.
A bilateral meeting was held between Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ramil Usubov and Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu as part of the event.
The meeting discussed issues related to joint activities to ensure regional security and the prospects for cooperation, taking into account the priorities identified within the framework of the meetings of the leaders of both countries.
