Recent works between Azerbaijan and Armenia are very important, said Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić during her speech at the summer session of the organization, APA's Britain bureau reports.
She spoke about the importance of trust-building measures between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and emphasized that she believes that a solution to the issues of the Council of Europe will be found in this way.
"The delegation of the Council of Europe visited Azerbaijan recently. A few weeks later, the visit of the delegation to Armenia is planned. The work done recently between the two countries is very important, I encourage more dialogue, more listening to each other, more work on outstanding issues," the Secretary General noted.
The Secretary General noted that instead of creating new conflicts, there is a need to resolve existing conflicts.
