"I think that Armenia will lose the big war with Azerbaijan," the Director of the Russian Institute of Political Studies, a well-known political scientist Sergei Markov told APA's Moscow bureau.

He called what happened today on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border a provocation of Yerevan.

"Currently, Armenia has attracted the observer mission of the European Union to its side. The Minister of Defense of Armenia goes to the headquarters of NATO in Brussels and talks about what is happening between Armenia and Azerbaijan. At this point, this kind of armed provocation costs Armenia a lot. In such a case, Yerevan attracts the European Union, France and NATO more to its side. At the same time, Armenia gains an opportunity to become an obstacle to the integration of the Armenian population of Karabakh into Azerbaijani society.I think that sending the Minister of Defense of Armenia to Brussels, to the headquarters of NATO, is a big mistake of Armenia. Because Russia will not help the Minister of Defense of Armenia in anything, who is currently at the headquarters of NATO," said a Russian politician.
