Russian Orthodox Church is ready to continue its efforts in the field of establishing a dialogue between Azerbaijani and Armenian religious leaders, said Metropolitan Antony Sevryuk of Volokolamsk, head of the department of relations with foreign churches of the Moscow Patriarchate in his interview with RIA Novosti, APA reports.
“We met with the chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office Allahshukur Pashazadeh. Along with other issues, we discussed what we could do jointly. I emphasized that the Russian Orthodox Church is ready to continue participating in the establishment of dialogue between the parties to the conflict and to make efforts together with the religious leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia to ensure that the situation returns to a peaceful course,” he noted.
