"We hope that non-regional players will not hinder the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process," Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during the joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
According to him, Moscow and Ankara are in favor of deepening cooperation between the South Caucasus and the countries neighboring this region: “We welcome the normalization process between Türkiye and Armenia which started with our support. We welcome the efforts to open transport communication in the region. Of course, we welcome the post-conflict reconstruction of the South Caucasus. Regarding all these issues, as you know, tripartite agreements were reached among the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armeniaç these agreements remain the basis for continued issues. We hope that our colleagues from the non-regional countries will not hinder this process, they will direct the parties to implement the tripartite agreements seriously."
