Russia to suggest Armenia and Azerbaijan to hold next tripartite summit

“Russia intends to propose Azerbaijan and Armenia to hold the next tripartite summit, it is planned to agree on the dates of its holding in the near future,” Assistant to Russian President Yuri Ushakov told journalists, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.

“We will suggest the next summit to be held by the attendance of Russian, Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders and we hope that we will be able to agree its date in near future,” stressed Ushakov.

Ushakov noted that Russia actively contributes to the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

"Moscow believes that the key to achieving lasting peace and solving all problems in the region lies in the implementation of trilateral agreements reached with the active participation of the Russian President."

Ushakov also said that Putin would hold one-on-one talks with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Astana.
