Russia commented on the EU's sending a mission to the Armenian-Azerbaijani border

Russia commented on the European Union sending a civilian mission to the border of Armenia with Azerbaijan, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that she was aware of this information in response to the question about the sending of the EU border mission at the suggestion of Armenia at the briefing she held today.

"As far as I understand, the European Union has not yet taken a formal decision on this. Unfortunately, we see this as another attempt by the European Union to prevent the normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan by all means and to limit Russia's mediation efforts. Of course, this is a matter for sovereign states. They are building their own relations," the Russian MFA spokesman said.
