The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has strongly condemned the missile strike on the Azerbaijani embassy in Ukraine, APA reports, citing Romanian MFA's "X" account.
Expressing full solidarity with Azerbaijan, the Romanian MFA called the missile strike on the embassy in Ukraine an "irresponsible act" and assessed it as a gross violation of the Vienna Convention.
"Premises of diplomatic missions are inviolable," it was noted.
It should be noted that the other day, Mikhail Yevdokimov, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Azerbaijan, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan stated that during the meeting, a strong protest was lodged regarding the incident on November 14 at approximately 1:00 a.m., when one of the Iskander-type missiles struck the territory of the embassy as a result of rocket and drone attacks on Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, and a corresponding diplomatic note was presented to him.
The other side was informed that as a result of the latest explosion, part of the fence of the embassy's territory was completely destroyed, structures, service vehicles, the administrative building and the consular department of the Embassy were damaged, as well as serious damage to the territory of the diplomatic mission. Fortunately, this blow did not cause any casualties.
