Coup d'etat in Ukraine in 2014 has paved the way to the beginning of these incidents, the Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharniko said at a press conference, APA reports.
The deputy has noted that Russia has started the military operations in Ukraine in order to ensure the security of the people in Donbass, prevent nasism, protect the Russian language and prevent Ukraine from joining NATO.
He has also touched upon the talks with Ukraine.
"I think that this may be solved through talks," the ambassador noted.
The ambassador has added that certain progress has been achieved in talks.
