"Our humanitarian aid agenda is also brought to attention of public within the framework of conference in Shusha. Event participants have especially been informed about vandalism policy, pursued by Armenia during occupation. They have got acquainted with the destructed areas along the road. Detailed information is provided on mining policy conducted by Armenia over these years and humanitarian problems, problems regarding its clearance, which Azerbaijan faces as a result of it, besides destruction," said Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev at the international conference in Shusha, APA reports.
Hikmet Hajiyev has noted with regret that the mining policy by Armenia is continued as well: "International community has been informed in this regard too. Some military posts were taken under control by Azerbaijani Army in the direction of Kalbajar-Lachin within the framework of Operation Revenge recently. More than 900 anti-personnel mines were detected in only one post. There were produced in 2021 in the territory of Armenia. It shows that Armenia still continues its hypocritical policy of mining. At the same time, existence of remains of Armenian armed forces in the Azerbaijani territories, under temporary control of Russian peacekeepers, and potential risks of it to regional peace, especially issue of missing persons on Mr. President's agenda are always actual. The issue is regularly raised by Mr. President during his contacts with foreign counterparts and head of states. Because one of the main factors of provision of reconciliation and justice in post-conflict reality is a response by the Armenian side to the issue of missing persons. Armenian government has information on place of mass graves here, but Armenia hides it."
