On March 15, President of the Republic of Romania Klaus Johannis made a phone call to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.
During the phone talk, views were exchanged on expanding bilateral relations. It was noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Romania and Azerbaijan, during which bilateral relations have developed on the basis of strategic partnership.
During the talk prospects of cooperation in the energy field, export of natural gas and electricity from Azerbaijan in terms of ensuring Romania's energy security, and diversification of energy supply were discussed.
Also, the sides exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
