"There are some issues of enclaves with Armenia as well. It's possible that the issue of enclaves will be resolved within the framework of the delimitation," said Farid Shafiyev, Chairman of the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) at a press conference on AIR Center's activities for 2023, APA reports.
"8 enclaves of ours are under occupation. The cause of the enclave issue not being resolved is again Armenia. When the issue of the enclave was raised, the Armenians stated that in the 1960s or 1980s, some territories were allegedly illegally given to Azerbaijan and therefore they do not recognize them. Some villages of Nakhchivan were given to Armenia in 1929 as well. So then why are the processes of the 1960s considered, but not the ones before that?".
