Polad Bulbuloglu expressed serious dissatisfaction of the Azerbaijani public to the management of Russia 1 channel

The well-known bizarre and provocative speech of Mikhail Delyagin, a member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and deputy chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, on Russian television has caused serious concern and dissatisfaction among the Azerbaijani public, including embassy staff, said the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

Commenting on Mikhail Delyagin's remarks on March 29, Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the President of the Russian Federation, called on him to control his emotions and refrain from making unfriendly statements about Azerbaijan.

In addition, he noted that this statement does not and cannot in any way correspond to the official position of the Russian Federation. He stressed that Mikhail Delyagin should refrain from such rhetoric at a time when Russia is making great efforts to support peace in Karabakh and fulfill the obligations of the parties.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a regular press briefing that she agreed with Dmitry Peskov's statement, noting that any such statements were unacceptable and irresponsible.

She noted that this did not reflect the position of the Russian Federation and its leadership, which aims to establish mutual alliance and strategic partnership with Azerbaijan. The Russian Foreign Ministry official also expressed confidence that the State Duma leadership would evaluate such provocative statements.

In addition, a letter was sent to Ambassador Polad Bulbuloglu by Oleg Shein, Secretary of the Presidium of the "Fair Russia" party, a member of the Russian State Duma of the III-VII convocation.

In the letter, Oleg Shein apologizes on behalf of Russian citizens who have not lost their sanity for the views expressed by State Duma Deputy Mikhail Delyagin on Russian television, emphasizing that the majority of his compatriots consider Azerbaijan a friendly country and the Azerbaijani people a good neighbor.
