Peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia will bring new opportunities to region - Georgian PM

Georgia's government administration has announced the topics discussed by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili with his Armenian counterpart Nikol Pashinyan in Tbilisi, APA's Tbilisi correspondent reports.

The parties noted that the transition of relations between Armenia and Georgia to the level of strategic partnership will strengthen the cooperation between the countries.

Additionally, cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, logistics and culture was highlighted. According to the information, mong the topics discussed were the security environment and challenges in the region and the world. Irakli Garibashvili stressed the importance of supporting peace and stability in the South Caucasus region and noted that ensuring peace and stability will bring new opportunities to the region.

"Georgia's role and efforts in promoting peace and stability in the region, including the meeting of the Prime Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Tbilisi, were noted. Irakli Garibashvili expressed that Georgia is ready to continue its direct efforts for the sake of the peaceful development of the region," the information stated.
