“Prime Minister Pashinyan's statement that he recognizes the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, including Garabagh, does not match his actual actions,” Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Special Assignments Elchin Amairbayov said in his interview with Deutsche Welle, APA reports.
Because he still keeps his forces there (in Garabagh), they still finance the separatist organization from the state budget, which is illegal. These 10,000 armed men of Armenia have become a legitimate military target of Azerbaijan, because this is a real security risk for the people of Azerbaijan. So, we have to deal with it. However, we can and want to get engaged with this within the framework of the peace process," Amirbayov noted.
