Geopolitical changes are taking place in the world, and prospects for establishing peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia are emerging, said Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili at a meeting with the delegation led by the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Armenian Parliament Sargis Khandanyan, APA's local bureau reports.
The parties discussed the current situation in the South Caucasus and the prospects for establishing peace in the region.
Khandanyan thanked Georgia for its efforts in promoting regional peace. He stressed the importance of the decision of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, to implement the free transportation of fuel from Azerbaijan to Armenia by rail via Georgia.
The talks aimed at normalizing relations between Armenia and Türkiye and their possible results were also discussed at the meeting.
